1980s rare Monsoon smocking midaxi dress M/L/XL

Early Monsoon out of this world dress.
Made in India from soft cotton/viscose. 
Floral pattern in rich burgundy reds/yellows/greens
Peter Pan collar
Wonderful hand smocking to the front and back. There is also smocking to the shoulders and cuffs - which gives beautiful pleating
Huge oversized sleeves 
Buttons at cuff
Buttons on back from neck to waist - it’s a step in dress or over the head
Side pockets
Long midaxi length 
Label reads size 12 and does measure as a modern size 12/14 ? 16 with the stretch
Laid flat - there is some natural stretch to the top half from the smocking. These are taken without stretching 
Underarm 20 inches x1 side
