Vintage 1970s rare Mary Farrin petal dress S/M

A real rare beauty by Mary Farrin - I haven’t come across this design before. It has a very 1930s Egyptian revival feel to it. 
Dating from the 1970s it has the 9 South Molton St London label. 
Beautifully fine and soft knitted ? silk wool. 
Open knit style makes it light and breathable. Not at all heavy. 
Black base with striking turquoise/rusty orange and gold braiding effect edging. 
Petal shape collar. This petal shape can also be seen in the hem design. 
Optional braided belt in the same colours with beading 
Goes on over the head. No closures. 
No size label
There is gentle stretch due to being knitted
It will fit modern sizes 8/10/12

Length 44 inches 
Stunning vintage condition with no issues. It appears to have minimal wear and it may not have been worn at all.
